Introduction

The Colchester based CVYO (the Main Orchestra) and its junior partner, the Colne Valley Training Orchestra (CVTO), have been in existence for over 25 years now.

In fact the year 2006 saw us celebrating our 25th Anniversary with some very special events.

The orchestra has broadcast on BBC Essex and has appeared on German television. Many members have since gone on to become professional musicians.

Together the CVYO and CVTO provide an ideal opportunity for the young people of Colchester and the surrounding area to express themselves musically in a friendly, non-competitive environment, free from the stress of auditions.
